How to grind coffee
Choose your grind
- Coarse: A coarse grind resembles coarse sea salt in consistency. With a larger surface area, it’s ideal for immersion brewing methods such as a coffee press or cold brew.
- Medium: A medium grind resembles sea salt in consistency. This grind ensures the perfect extraction of flavor when brewing with a Chemex, coffee machine or Moka pot.
- Fine: A fine grind resembles granulated sugar in consistency and is recommended for pour-over and espresso.
