Starbucks introduces new limited-time beverages, just in time for the upcoming summer season.
Beginning Tuesday, May 20, Starbucks will introduce new limited-time beverages, just in time for the upcoming summer season. The new Iced Horchata Oatmilk Shaken Espresso joins returning fan-favorite Summer-Berry Starbucks Refreshers® Beverages and a new Strawberries & Cream Cake Pop.
New Iced Horchata Oatmilk Shaken Espresso
Inspired by the flavors of horchata, a popular and beloved beverage throughout Latin America and beyond, the new Iced Horchata Oatmilk Shaken Espresso features Starbucks® Blonde Espresso, which provides a light, smooth and subtly sweet profile that pairs perfectly with oatmilk and the horchata flavored syrup – which is a fusion of warm cinnamon, sweet vanilla and subtle nutty notes reminiscent of the rice milk that makes up a traditional horchata.
While horchata recipes vary from region to region, it’s often made with non-dairy milk, sweetened and flavored with spices, extracts and other ingredients – a reflection of the unique tastes and traditions of the cultures that created it. Read more about the inspiration behind the new beverage.
“In the central California neighborhood where I grew up, horchata was everywhere—on street corners, in convenience stores, and on the menu at most Mexican restaurants we visited,” said beverage developer Ricky Gonzalez who helped bring the new beverage to Starbucks. “Every Sunday, we would have a family meal at a Mexican restaurant, and horchata was always a treat for my brother and me. It was icy, sweet, and spiced with cinnamon. It’s both comforting and refreshing.”
The new Iced Horchata Oatmilk Shaken Espresso is available throughout the summer while supplies last.
Summer-Berry Starbucks Refreshers® Beverages Return
Summer-Berry Refreshers are back after quickly becoming a customer-favorite when first introduced to Starbucks summer menu in 2024. Featuring a sweet and summery blend of raspberry, blueberry and blackberry flavors shaken with ice and water, poured over raspberry flavored pearls, this returning drink delivers a juicy burst of raspberry flavor in every sip. The vibrant flavors of Summer-Berry Refreshers can also be ordered with lemonade in the Summer-Berry Lemonade Refresher or with creamy coconutmilk in the Summer Skies Drink.
The Summer-Berry Refreshers are available for a limited time, while supplies last this summer.
New Strawberries & Cream Cake Pop
A new Strawberries & Cream Cake Pop joins the summer menu, featuring strawberry cream cake mixed with buttercream, dipped in a chocolaty icing and finished with a summer strawberry design. Available for a limited time, while supplies last.
Summer at Starbucks Reserve Locations
Summer started early at Starbucks Reserve locations in Chicago, New York City and Seattle with the launch of the new Ube Espresso Martini, Masala Chai Latte, and Crispy Hashbrown Egg Cup. Two new Starbucks Reserve whole bean coffee blends – Rwanda Sholi Kundwa and Honey Process Ecuador Loja – are now available, alongside the return of customer-favorite Indonesia West Java blend.
