With hectic schedules and days that seem busier than ever, Americans are prioritizing beverage options and routines that help maximize their mornings. That’s why Starbucks, inspired by the launch of the new RTD Starbucks Coffee & Protein, is reimagining the traditional morning routine and elevating what you sip, what you wear and how you move.

Make the most of what you sip with RTD Starbucks® Coffee & Protein

Demand for drinks that deliver added benefits, protein* and fiber** have emerged as top nutritional priorities for many Americans. Powered by 22 grams of complete protein, 5 grams of prebiotic fiber, 5 vitamins & minerals and 2 grams of sugar, RTD Starbucks Coffee & Protein is an option that’s perfect for busy mornings, offering the premium Starbucks coffee customers love with added nutrition.

Elevate what you wear with the Starbucks™ Weighted Vest

RTD Starbucks Coffee & Protein is giving mornings a boost with the launch of the Starbucks™ Weighted Vest, designed in partnership with Kahlana Barfield Brown, founder of fashion and lifestyle brand KBB by Kahlana.

A beige vest with green trim features a front zipper and two pockets. Next to it are two bottles of Starbucks Coffee Protein drinks, one chocolate and one vanilla. The background is a wooden surface.

Inspired by the concept behind Starbucks Coffee & Protein, which combines coffee and protein in one convenient bottle to simplify busy mornings, the vest pairs function and fashion in a single piece to make morning routines easier as consumers move from their morning walk straight into whatever comes next.

Fueled by strong interest in weighted vests on social media***, the design supports movement and style with a bespoke silhouette, 5 pounds of customizable weights for resistance and a dedicated pocket sized to perfectly hold RTD Starbucks Coffee & Protein.

“People are looking to simplify their morning routines, not complicate them,” said Brian Smith, senior director, Brand Marketing, North American Coffee Partnership for Starbucks. “This partnership is about making the most of familiar morning habits. Pairing RTD Starbucks® Coffee & Protein with the Starbucks™ Weighted Vest helps our customers be more intentional about how they start their day.”

Partnering with Starbucks, Kahlana brought a design-first lens to a category often focused solely on function, reimagining the weighted vest as something people would want to wear every morning.

A person is seen from behind, wearing a sleeveless outfit with a green collar. A bottle of Starbucks Coffee & Protein is tucked into a mesh pocket on the back. The background is blurred, suggesting an outdoor setting.

“Weighted vests are having a major moment, but most weren’t designed to be both functional and fashionable,” said Kahlana Barfield Brown. “With the Starbucks™ Weighted Vest, we wanted to take something functional and make it feel fashion‑forward and intentional. It’s an easy upgrade to morning routines that fits seamlessly alongside RTD Starbucks Coffee & Protein.”

Take the Starbucks® Coffee & Protein Challenge on Strava

Starbucks is also launching an in-app Challenge with Strava, the app for active people.

From May 21 through June 18, the Starbucks® Coffee & Protein Level Up Strava Challenge invites new and existing Strava users to walk or run 22 minutes a day for 10 days or more (a nod to the 22 grams of complete protein in every bottle of RTD Starbucks Coffee & Protein). Participants who opt-in via the Strava app and complete the Challenge will be entered for a chance to win a limited-edition Starbucks™ Weighted Vest.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Open to 50 US & DC, 18+. Ends 6/22. To enter and for Official Rules, visit starbucksproteinlevelup.com .

“Running and walking are the two most popular activities on Strava because they’re accessible and easy to incorporate into busy routines,” said Jennifer Starr, Director, North America of Strava for Business at Strava.

“This Challenge is about enjoying everyday movement and creating mindful habits for mornings. Together with Starbucks, we’re celebrating simple upgrades that help turn daily rituals into feel‑good momentum over time.”
