Starbucks launches new Matcha and Valentine’s Day drinks
Beginning on Tuesday, Feb. 3, two new vibrant matcha beverages – Iced Double Berry Matcha and Iced Banana Bread Matcha – join the Starbucks menu, alongside two Valentine’s Day drinks.
Bold New Matcha Menu
Two new vibrant and flavorful green tea lattes are joining the Starbucks year-round menu.
Iced Double Berry Matcha
Perfect for berry lovers, the new Iced Double Berry Matcha is a fresh twist on the classic iced matcha latte. Layers of strawberry puree, matcha and silky raspberry cream cold foam come together over ice for a beverage with bold fruit flavor.
Raspberry is back — and this time, it’s here to stay. After last summer’s limited time release, the fan favorite raspberry syrup returns permanently, giving customers year-round ways to customize their drinks, including raspberry flavored cold foam available with protein and nondairy options.
Iced Banana Bread Matcha
Inspired by the comforting flavors of a fresh-baked loaf of banana bread, the Iced Banana Bread Matcha combines matcha with brown sugar syrup and milk over ice and is topped with a layer of velvety banana cream cold foam and a caramel crunch topping.
“Our matcha delivers a vibrant, velvety green experience with a smooth and creamy body,” said Starbucks beverage developer Sakthi Vijayakumar, who helped create these new drinks. “It is a perfect beverage to bring new flavor combinations to customers.”
Starbucks matcha powder is made from shade-grown, milled green tea from premier tea growers. The unsweetened matcha powder makes it easy for customers to customize the level of sweetness by adjusting the amount of syrup in the beverage when ordering in the café or on the Starbucks® app.
Love at First Sip
Starbucks is adding a little more love to the menu with two new Valentine’s Day beverages alongside the Valentine Cake Pop, available for a limited time while supplies last at U.S. Starbucks coffeehouses.
White Chocolate Strawberry Cream Cold Brew
Starbucks take on the classic chocolate-covered strawberries, White Chocolate Strawberry Cream Cold Brew is made with Starbucks Cold Brew, sweetened with vanilla flavored syrup and topped with White Chocolate Strawberry Cream Cold Foam and a sprinkle of chocolate curls.
For a limited time, while the Valentine’s Day beverages are available, White Chocolate Strawberry Cream Cold Foam can be added to any cold beverage.
Strawberry Shortcake Frappuccino®
Strawberry Shortcake Frappuccino® combines Starbucks Crème Frappuccino® with swirls of strawberry puree and cinnamon dolce syrup, finished with whipped cream and a caramel-sugar sprinkle.
