Eggnog Returns
Eggnog Latte was Starbucks first-ever holiday espresso beverage – ever since Dave Olsen (also the founding father of Espresso Roast), first got behind the espresso bar in 1986 and steamed up a pitcher of eggnog and milk. Decades later, it’s still a customer favorite. While it was on hiatus for a few years from Starbucks holiday menu, it’s back as a holiday flavor drop this season.
“We heard the call for eggnog loud and clear, that’s what sparked the journey,” said Erik Gomez, who works on Starbucks beverage development team. “Our mission was to bring back that nostalgic, creamy indulgence that feels like a hug in a cup – rich, velvety, and unmistakably festive.”

Erik guided the team through over 30 recipe iterations, chasing the perfect balance of flavors that define the season. “For true eggnog lovers, it’s about those comforting notes – the warmth of nutmeg, the gently spice of ground cinnamon, layered over a luscious, custard-like base,” he explained. “These flavors aren’t just ingredients; they’re memories, like holiday kitchens filled with laughter, the scent of baking wafting through the air, and the cozy glow of twinkling lights. Every sip should feel like stepping into that moment.”
“When you ask people who love eggnog, the nutmeg and ground cinnamon were really important,” he said. “These are spices used in holiday baking, and it evokes the holidays.”
The team re-imagined the Starbucks holiday classic with rich steamed eggnog and Starbucks signature espresso, topped with creamy foam and a dusting of ground nutmeg for the perfect finish. They also created an iced version and a new Eggnog Cream Cold Foam for a festive addition to any iced coffee beverage.
Cheers to Chestnut Praline Latte
Chestnut Praline Latte is another quintessential holiday flavor making its return to Starbucks this holiday season. First introduced in 2014, the beverage was inspired by the sweet aroma of roasted chestnuts in the air at European Christmas markets, making it the perfect complement to rich molasses and bold, caramelly sweetness of Starbucks signature espresso.

New merch collab with Roller Rabbit
There’s something new at Starbucks that pairs perfectly with your holiday pajamas. Starbucks is collaborating with lifestyle brand Roller Rabbit to bring color and whimsy to the holidays with a new merchandise collection of tumblers, cold cups and a camp mug featuring their vibrant, hand-drawn prints and patterns.
“We were inspired by the idea of enjoying a cup of coffee in your pajamas with family or friends by the fire during this time of year. Both brands really appeal to customers who are drawn to the comfort of those seasonal rituals,” said Kap Pitarys, director of U.S. merchandise for Starbucks. Learn more about the collaboration.
