Starbucks College Achievement Plan Propels Thousands of Partners Forward

ASU's Degree Offerings

A first-of-its-kind partnership with Arizona State University (ASU)

Introduced in June 2014, the Starbucks College Achievement Plan (SCAP) is a first-of-its-kind partnership with Arizona State University (ASU) that creates opportunity for all eligible U.S. partners (employees) to earn their first-time bachelor’s degree through ASU’s top-ranked online degree program with 100% upfront tuition coverage.

100% UPFRONT TUITION COVERAGE

Our partners can apply for SCAP on day one, and there is no commitment to stay with Starbucks after they graduate. While many companies offer tuition benefits up to a limit of $5,250 a year, we offer full tuition coverage, all upfront.

An industry-leading benefit with meaningful impact

We support our partners on every step of the journey, like helping gain access to admission and offering an additional benefit to Military families.

4,500 partners have leveraged Pathway to Admission

A program for those who do not initially qualify for college admission. Eligible partners can take up to ten college-level courses to earn their admission at ASU, with credit conversion costs fully covered.

300+ Military and Veteran partners have graduated

500+ are currently participating in SCAP. Additionally, we are the only employer to offer an extended education benefit to a military family member.

150+ Online Bachelor’s Degree Programs Offered

SCAP graduates continue career growth outside of Starbucks in top industries, such as Healthcare, Education, Internet & Software and Non-profit.

Beyond graduation, partners are continuing their career and education journeys. Nearly 90% of partners believe SCAP had a positive impact on their future career.
