Disaster Relief

Starbucks and The Starbucks Foundation strengthen communities affected by disaster by investing in preparedness, response and resilience programs around the world.
As the communities we serve, our partners (employees) and our customers navigate the ramifications of natural and man-made disasters, Starbucks and The Starbucks Foundation continue to work alongside communities to aid with relief efforts and natural disaster resilience, leveraging nonprofit partnership and our local teams to deliver critical support.
We will continue to use this page to provide timely updates, share how Starbucks is working alongside communities and ways to support relief and resiliency efforts. As always, we encourage our partners and communities to follow to local authority safety advisements and reference Starbucks store locator for store specific information.

Supporting Our Communities and Partners (Employees) During the Los Angeles Wildfires
With the fires in Los Angeles on all our minds, we are dedicated to supporting our partners and communities during this uncertain time through our Partner Care Resources and partnerships with national and local disaster relief and resilience organizations. We are also inviting our customers to join us in donating to the relief efforts, in-store or online. Alongside The Starbucks Foundation and their customers, Starbucks is donating a total of more than $1M to national organizations like American Red Cross, World Central Kitchen and Team Rubicon, along with more than 15 local organizations like LA Regional Food Bank, YMCA of Metro Los Angeles and The Dream Center. Additionally, Starbucks Coffee Company is a Gold Sponsor for the FireAid Benefit Concert in Los Angeles which is dedicated to rebuilding communities that have been devastated by wildfires.
As a thank you to the first responders working hard to protect local communities, Starbucks is offering free tall (12 oz.) brewed hot or iced coffee at our Los Angeles area stores. Additionally, where it’s safe, our local coffeehouse teams are distributing free coffee and food to first responders. As the path to recovery becomes clearer, we will continue to work closely with disaster response organizations to understand where we can meaningfully support.
*Offer valid at participating stores. Offer valid on 1/13/25 to 2/9/25 on cafe and drive thru orders only. Cold brew is not included in this offer. Limit one per customer per visit.
Aiding Hurricane Relief Efforts and Resilience Across U.S. Communities
During the road to recovery, we express our sincerest condolences to those who are navigating the devastating effects of the recent hurricanes, and our deepest gratitude for first responders and organizations supporting relief and resiliency efforts. In addition to our longstanding partnerships with American Red Cross and World Central Kitchen, The Starbucks Foundation is also partnering with Planet Water Foundation, Team Rubicon and local organizations to address urgent needs such as food, water and shelter.
As part of our Community Promise to contribute positively, our Starbucks partners also extend support to their local communities, from volunteering with and donating to relief efforts to offer comfort and connection through cups of coffee to communities and first responders.
For Starbucks partners (employees) looking to help during times of special need, and year-round, consider contributing to the Caring Unites Partners (CUP) Fund – Starbucks financial assistance program funded by partners, for partners.
Partnerships
Our partnerships, such as with the American Red Cross and World Central Kitchen, allow for quick response to provide relief and comfort to people affected by disasters big and small, as well as support to help our grantees serve and meet the unexpected needs of local communities.
