Our diverse menu of high-quality foods and beverages empower customers to make informed nutritional decisions, with transparency on ingredients, calories, and more. Plus, we keep it simple—no high fructose corn syrup, artificial dyes, flavors, or artificial trans-fats. 

Nutrition facts and ingredients for a majority of the food and beverages served at Starbucks are available on Starbucks.com, on the Starbucks® app.  

The following timeline shares Starbucks journey over the years and the progress we have made, while always keeping our customers at the center of our work. 

2025:  

  • Announces testing of protein in coffee in select U.S. coffeehouses. 
  • Introduces certified vegan Spicy Falafel Pocket to the permanent menu. 
  • New unsweetened Matcha powder can be customized to your taste. 
  • Introduces Ready-to-Drink Starbucks® Iced Energy with only 5 calories and 0 grams of sugar, as well as RTD Starbucks® Frappuccino® Lite at 100 calories and no added sugars. 

2024:  

  • Removes extra charge for non-dairy milk customizations. 
  • Starbucks® Iced Coffee now made unsweetened as the standard recipe. 
  • Introduces non-dairy cold foams. 

2021:  

  • Updates website and app to include full ingredients list. 
  • Introduces oatmilk in the U.S. nationwide as fourth non-dairy milk choice, following almondmilk in 2016, coconutmilk in 2015 and soy milk in 1997. 
  • Starbucks® Iced Teas now made unsweetened as the standard recipe.

2020

  • Makes commitment to expand plant-based options and introduces ImpossibleTM Breakfast Sandwich*. 
  • Meets commitment to reducing average added sugar in indulgent beverages by 25%. 
  • Meets goal to source 100% cage free eggs in North America. 

2019:  

  • Launches Irish Cream Cold Brew, the first-ever Holiday beverage at or under 200 calories for a grande. 

2018: 

  • Meets commitment to all beverages being free of artificial flavors in all company-operated and licensed locations in the U.S. and Canada. 
  • Meets goal to serve only poultry raised without the routine use of medically important antibiotics in all company-operated U.S. stores. 

2017:  

  • Adds certified vegan Sprouted Grain Bagel to menu. 
  • Adds Starbucks Protein Boxes to menu, which contain at least 20 grams of protein. 

2016: 

  • Meets commitment for all beverages to be free of High Fructose Corn Syrup, Caramel Color and other artificial dyes in all company-operated and licensed locations in the U.S. and Canada. 

2013: 

  • Introduces Starbucks Refreshers™ beverages, offering refreshment and energy through green coffee extract. 

2008:  

  • Adds Skinny Lattes to menu. 

2006:  

  • 2% milk becomes the new standard in U.S. and Canada stores, saving customers about 17 million calories per year. 

2005:  

  • Introduces Frappuccino® Light Blended Coffee beverages – 90 calories in a tall. 

1997:  

  • Begins offering non-dairy milk in the U.S. and Canada with the addition of soymilk to menu. 

1988: 

  • Offers full healthcare benefits to eligible full and part-time partners
