Neighborhood Grants
Starbucks has always been about great coffee. But we are much more than that.
Through the Neighborhood Grants program, The Starbucks Foundation invites Starbucks partners (employees) to nominate local grassroots, community-led nonprofit organizations in their community to receive small grants. Neighborhood Grants also help build sustained local impact and inspire partners to engage with nonprofits all year long.
In 2025, for the sixth year of the Neighborhood Grants program, The Starbucks Foundation awarded over $5.4 million to more than 3,200 local organizations across North America nominated by Starbucks partners.

Supporting Hunger Relief

Empowering youth

Addressing homelessness
Our mission is to be the premier purveyor of the finest coffee in the world, inspiring and nurturing the human spirit— one person, one cup and one neighborhood at a time.
At Starbucks, our partners (employees) turn everyday connections into lasting community impact. With Neighborhood Grants from The Starbucks Foundation, we celebrate that impact by supporting the local organizations they care about most. Since 2019, Starbucks partners and Starbucks Alumni have submitted more than 170,000 nominations, resulting in over 16,000 Neighborhood Grants totaling more than $25 million to organizations across the U.S. and Canada.
These grants will support organizations that are empowering youth, fighting hunger, uplifting families, advocating for LGBTQ+ causes, addressing homelessness and promoting environmental stewardship.

Caledon Community Services (CCS) – Bolton, Ontario
Grantee CCS helps fight food insecurity in Caledon. The organization operates the CCS Exchange Food Bank, which is seeing record-high demand — one in three visitors is a child. The grant supports the distribution of nutritious, culturally appropriate food and helps families facing tough choices, especially during the back-to-school season. Local Starbucks partners further support CCS through FoodShare donations and Coldest Night of the Year fundraising.
Resource Center – Dallas, Texas
Resource Center empowers the LGBTQIA+ community and people living with HIV/AIDS. Nominated by 40 Starbucks partners this year — more than any other Dallas nonprofit — the grant helps fund health and wellness programming, including a food pantry and affordable housing for seniors.

Founded in 1983, Resource Center focuses on safe spaces, supportive services and skill-building opportunities. Starbucks partners also volunteer at events and fundraisers, deepening a long-standing relationship built on shared values.
Harlem Grown – New York City, New York
Harlem Grown has a mission of inspiring youth through mentorship and hands-on education in urban farming, sustainability, and nutrition. Nominated by Starbucks partner Shaye among many other partners, the organization transforms abandoned lots into thriving farms and operates 14 urban agriculture sites across Harlem, where Shaye grew up and now gives back through volunteering.

Their hands-on farm and food education programs target elementary-aged students and promote food justice, healthy living, youth leadership and community empowerment.
Opportunity Village – Las Vegas, Nevada
Opportunity Village supports and empowers people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through vocational training, employment and enrichment programs. Starbucks partners in the community have long supported Opportunity Village’s inclusive and uplifting work, helping create opportunities for independence and belonging.

Operation Stand Down Central Texas (OSDCT) – Copperas Cove, Texas
Operation Stand Down Central Texas assists homeless veterans and their families in the greater Austin area. Entirely volunteer-run, the organization provides immediate relief from the trauma and isolation of homelessness by offering shelter, food, clothing, showers and haircuts in a safe and welcoming environment. Local Starbucks partners support several OSDCT events throughout the year by volunteering, donating coffee and connecting with the community.
