About No Child Sleeps Outside
The No Child Sleeps Outside campaign is Mary’s Place annual crowdfunding campaign that helps bring unsheltered families inside.
This year, the No Child Sleeps Outside campaign has a fundraising goal of $2 million. Support of Mary’s Place is critical as unsheltered families in our community are facing greater levels of uncertainty due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Funds raised for the campaign will enable Mary’s Place to create a Rapid Response Fund that will help move families experiencing homelessness from streets and shelters back into safe, permanent housing and also help keep vulnerable families from losing their homes.
For the last five years, as part of Starbucks ongoing commitment to its hometown and strengthening the communities in which it serves, the company has stood side by side with Mary’s Place to raise awareness about unsheltered families and support their annual No Child Sleeps Outside campaign. This year, The Starbucks Foundation is contributing $250,000 to help launch the campaign. To date, The Starbucks Foundation has contributed more than $3 million to connect unsheltered families to critical resources and care to help them move into stable, permanent and safe housing.
Together with the Seattle employer community, Starbucks has helped to raise over $13 million through the No Child Sleeps Outside campaign to open seven emergency shelters with Mary’s Place, increase assistance to help families stay in their homes, and host Family Resource Exchange events around the region to provide critical resources.
