Starbucks Offers a Seahawks Frappuccino to Cheer On the Team
To celebrate the Seattle Seahawks trip to the NFL championship game, Starbucks is offering a Seahawks Frappuccino blended beverage at participating Washington and Oregon stores from January 30 through February 2.
A Starbucks barista, who’s a huge Seattle Seahawks fan, is behind a special Frappuccino® blended beverage that will be offered at participating Washington and Oregon stores to celebrate the team’s season and cheer them on during the NFL championship game on Sunday.
The Seahawks Frappuccino® is a Vanilla Bean Crème handcrafted beverage blended with blueberries and topped with green tea matcha-infused whip cream. Participating Starbucks® stores in Washington and Oregon will offer Seahawks Frappuccino® from Friday, January 30 through February 2.
The team’s blue and green colors inspired Arvin to create the Seahawks Frappuccino.
“It’s definitely difficult to make something blue. I thought blueberry would be the best option to add to a vanilla bean Frappuccino and the matcha green tea adds a touch of green to the whipped cream,” Arvin said. “It took about six blends to make sure I had the right amount of blueberries.”
The next day, Arvin and fellow partners at their Starbucks® store in Kent, Washington offered samples of the Seahawks beverage to customers. Arvin said he’s happy more Starbucks customers will be able to give it a try soon.
In addition, partners in Washington state will be wearing Seahawks colors on Blue Friday. And, back by popular demand, a limited number of Seahawks Starbucks cards will be re-released in Western Washington Starbucks® stores. The Seahawks and Starbucks are also offering exclusive “Legion of Brew” digital content through the Seahawks app in many Seattle-area stores.

About Frappuccino® Blended Beverages
Starbucks launched the first Frappuccino® blended beverages, Coffee and Mocha, in the U.S. in 1995 with a proprietary blend of coffee, milk and ice. Two decades later, Starbucks offers more than 36,000 different combinations of Frappuccino® blended beverages. It all started with a Starbucks barista in California with a blender – and now it’s an iconic beverage.
