Oatly oatmilk coming to Starbucks nationwide in the U.S. on March 2
Starbucks customers across the U.S. can enjoy Oatly oatmilk alongside Starbucks new spring menu.
Starting Tuesday, March 2, Starbucks customers across the U.S. can enjoy Oatly oatmilk alongside Starbucks new spring menu at stores nationwide. Oatly oatmilk is creamy, delicious, plant-based, and pairs perfectly with Starbucks espresso, including the new Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso and Honey Oatmilk Latte. Oatly oatmilk will be offered as part of Starbucks core U.S. menu and available year around.
“We’re pleased to bring Oatly oatmilk to Starbucks stores nationwide in the U.S., something our customers have asked for as they increasingly seek a variety of plant-based choices,” said Luigi Bonini, senior vice president, Global Product Innovation at Starbucks. “When selecting an oatmilk, we looked for a high-quality ingredient that is not only delicious, but also complements our coffees and inspires new handcrafted beverages like the Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso and Honey Oatmilk Latte. Oatly’s oatmilk has a smooth and velvety texture, foams beautifully, and pairs perfectly in our light and dark roast coffees, opening up new possibilities for beverage innovation at Starbucks.”
Since Oatly’s introduction of its original oatmilk to the U.S., oatmilk has become a new standard in U.S. coffee and home fridges. Following positive Starbucks partner (employee) and customer feedback from the regional roll-outs of Oatly oatmilk across the Mid-West and California, oatmilk is the fourth non-dairy milk alternative available for customers in the U.S. to enjoy, alongside soymilk, coconutmilk and almondmilk. Starbucks first started offering non-dairy milk at its stores in the U.S. in 1997 with the addition of soymilk, followed by coconutmilk in 2015 and almondmilk in 2016. Starbucks also offers non-dairy creamers available in the grocery aisle, in partnership with the global coffee alliance.
“We know from experience that we’re in the midst of a plant-based revolution,” said Toni Petersson, Oatly CEO. “People everywhere are looking for ways to eat and drink that are better for them and for the planet they live on. Oatly exists to make it easy for people to make those choices every day, with every cup of coffee. We’re excited to be part of Starbucks ongoing commitment to sustainability. With this next step, together we’re able to reach that many more people across the U.S. with oatmilk and in so doing, continue to do great things for the planet.”
