To help you start your day on an uplifting note, Starbucks® by Nespresso® is partnering with artist and poet Morgan Harper Nichols to launch “Morning Mantras,” an Instagram Effect driven by new Starbucks® Coffee for Nespresso® Vertuo Machines and Nichols’s inspirational words.
While you enjoy the signature café taste and quality of Starbucks® coffee at home on Nespresso® Vertuo Machines, the words of affirmation will set the tone for a positive day ahead.
To access “Morning Mantras,” click here, or search “Morning Mantras” in the Instagram Effects library. From there, follow a simple step-by-step process:
- Step 1: Place Instagram’s native marker on a flat surface, such as a table or counter.
- Step 2: The marker will show up as green circles, and the Starbucks Siren will appear in the center.
- Step 3: The Instagram Effect appears before your eyes, with inspirational mantras from Morgan Harper Nichols coming to life around a cup of c.
- Step 4: By tapping on the navigation menu, you can access 10 unique mantras.
- Step 5: Share what you discover, and be well.

Starbucks® Colombia for Nespresso® Vertuo: We’ve always loved coffee from Colombia and we’re never reminded of that love more than when we’re travelling to the coffee farms. Driving treacherous dirt roads with a sheer mountain wall to one side – nothing but air for thousands of feet to the other. For us, the round body, juicy taste and signature nutty finish of this 100% Colombian coffee are worth the journey every time.

Starbucks® Veranda Blend® for Nespresso® Vertuo: In Latin America, coffee farms are often run by families, with their own homes on the same land where their coffee grows. We’ve sipped coffee with these farmers for decades, sitting on their verandas, overlooking the lush beauty of the coffee trees rolling out in the distance. Most times it was a lightly roasted coffee like this one – mellow and flavorful.
Starbucks® Caffé Verona® for Nespresso® Vertuo: This is a coffee of one true love, and three names. We created it for a Seattle restaurant in 1975, naming it Jake’s Blend. And people loved it. So many, in fact, that we began hand scooping and blending it to order in our stores, where it was known as 80/20 Blend, for the recipe. The love was so strong we finally made it official, calling it Verona after the city that inspires so many. By any name, this is a thing of pure romance.
