In one year, Starbucks and Nestlé have redefined at-home coffee
Starbucks and Nestlé announced the launch of Starbucks Premium Instant Coffee, available in Japan, China, Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific.
Today, Starbucks and Nestlé announced another collaborative innovation as a result of the global coffee alliance, the launch of Starbucks Premium Instant Coffee, available in Japan, China, Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific.
The new products are a masterwork of technological innovation with customer experience at the heart. Starbucks Premium Instant Coffee is made with the same high-quality 100% arabica beans served in Starbucks coffeehouses around the world leveraging the expertise and expansive distribution capabilities of Nestlé to redefine the premium instant coffee segment.
Starbucks Premium Instant Coffee arrives in a variety of choices including two black coffees, Medium Roast and Dark Roast, along with five coffees inspired by signature Starbucks beverages that customers know and love including Cappuccino, Caffè Latte, Caffè Mocha, Caramel Latte, Vanilla Latte, and tea-based Matcha (Japan exclusive). Available in supermarkets and major online platforms, Starbucks Premium Instant Coffee offers a convenient new format that customers can enjoy in the comfort of their homes.
Through the global coffee alliance with Nestlé, Starbucks is continuing to elevate and expand the global reach of Starbucks for our customers around the world. In 2019 the global coffee alliance enabled Starbucks to grow our global share in at home coffee by accelerating our leadership position in North America and expanding the international presence of Starbucks coffee through the launch of new platforms and entering new markets. Since forming the alliance we’ve expanded at an unprecedented accelerated pace and will be in 50 markets by the end of March.
Importantly, the global coffee alliance reflects the shared values and goals of both companies, including a shared commitment to ethical and sustainable sourcing of coffee. All global coffee alliance products are made with high-quality arabica coffee, ethically sourced, adhering to Starbucks C.A.F.É. Practices.
The global coffee alliance continues to evolve, creating new opportunities to grow Starbucks brand presence with coffee at home and in foodservice channels, accelerate product innovation, and redefine the grocery coffee aisle.
