Starting today (Apr. 17) customers at participating stores in the U.S. and Canada can enjoy Starbucks hottest new cold coffee experience with Cold Foam Cascara Cold Brew (and as Nitro where available) and Cold Foam Starbucks® Blonde Iced Cappuccino.
While rich, steamed foam has been a hallmark of Starbucks coffee since the 1980s, cold foam is a modern twist on the classic as a perfect finish to cold beverages. Frothed cold instead of hot by blending nonfat milk until it is smooth, creating layers of creamy texture and flavor without the cream.
Starbucks first debuted cold foam when it opened the doors to the Reserve Roastery in Seattle December 2014 with the Americano Con Crema, which is topped with a coffee-spiced cold foam. It has also been a feature in other specialty beverages including the Nitro Cascara Cloud in select Starbucks Reserve coffee bars.
In addition to the new featured cold foam beverages, customers can also ask to add a dollop of cold foam to their favorite iced beverages. The beverages are served with strawless lids, allowing customers savor the velvety cold foam with every sip.
Cold Foam Cascara Cold Brew
Cold Foam Cascara Cold Brew starts with Starbucks® Cold Brew, lightly sweetened with vanilla syrup and topped with cascara cold foam and a strike of cascara topping, adding notes of brown sugar and maple without overpowering the smooth coffee flavor of cold brew.
Cold Foam Cascara Nitro Cold Brew
Cold Foam Cascara Nitro Cold Brew uses velvety Nitro Cold Brew without ice and is topped with the subtly sweet cascara cold foam and cascara topping.
Cold Foam Starbucks® Blonde Iced Cappuccino
Cold Foam Starbucks® Blonde Espresso takes inspiration from Cappuccino Freddo, the national beverage of Greece, served in participating Starbucks stores in Europe. The beverage is made with Starbucks Blonde Espresso shots poured over ice with a splash of nonfat milk and topped with cold foam.
