Paul Riedel is Starbucks senior vice president, Digital, North America. In this role, he leads Starbucks digital customer experience in partnership with Starbucks Technology to enable customers to find, order and get exactly what they want from Starbucks in a way that is equally effortless and delightful. Including creating the Starbucks Experience and connection through a digital lens.
Originally from Hamburg, Germany, Paul has led pioneering digital initiatives for some of the world’s leading brands. This includes creating some of the most successful mobile apps at eBay and spearheading the global digital retail experience at Nike. Most recently, Paul served as Vice President, Global Online Experience and eCommerce at Dell Technologies, where he led the transformation of Dell’s online experience, including the transition of all sales online.
Paul has a degree in audio engineering from SAE Institute. He also completed the University of Minnesota’s Carlson Executive Leadership program and holds a Certificate of Project Management from Stanford University.
Outside of work, Paul enjoys mountain biking, has a passion for cars and enjoys exploring new cultures through the lens of retail. Amidst these adventures, Paul is married to his partner Lola, and the proud father of three children.
Paul’s favorite Starbucks beverage is an Americano in the morning and a Matcha Tea Latte in the afternoon.
