Aswin Krishnan is senior vice president, Enterprise Transformation & Global Business Services for Starbucks. In this leadership role, Aswin is responsible for the planning and execution of the Starbucks transformation agenda, fostering change and innovation to enhance effectiveness, efficiency and competitiveness for long-term success. Promoted to his position in June 2023, he works in close partnership with the Starbucks executive leadership team.
Aswin joined Starbucks in June 2019 as vice president of Shared Services, leading the design and delivery of shared services for partner resources, retail, store development, supply chain, technology and finance. In March 2022, he assumed the role of senior vice president, Corporate and Financial Services that included leading business integration, global business services and accounting and ensuring the integrity of internal and external financial reporting.
Aswin’s career spans multiple businesses, functions and geographies across start-up, growth and turnaround environments. He is passionate about championing inclusion, diversity and equity and attracting and developing talent to create high-performance cultures. He has experience in strategy development, P&L management, creating and deploying operating models, innovating products and technologies to deliver world class customer and employee experiences, building and scaling global operations and leading global enterprise-wide change initiatives for several Fortune 100 organizations.
Prior to joining Starbucks, Aswin worked for Amazon from 2017-2019, leading worldwide vendor and brand operations and overseeing a global team in their delivery of world-class experiences and services. During his tenure with Liberty Mutual Insurance from 2009-2016, he was promoted to senior vice president of strategic services and led a global customer and operational excellence transformation. Prior to Liberty, Aswin was at The Hartford where he held leadership positions spanning multiple businesses and functions, including an international expatriate leadership assignment in Japan.
Aswin holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) in Mumbai, India and an MBA from Virginia Tech. He has also completed the Strategic Leadership program at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and the Coaching for Leadership Impact program at the Center for Creative Leadership.
Aswin’s journey started in India, and over the years, he has lived in Virginia, Tokyo, Connecticut and Seattle. He enjoys playing and watching tennis, attending music festivals, and traveling with family and friends to experience new cultures and foods. His favorite Starbucks beverage is a Nitro Cold Brew.
